According to the Regulation on the Transportation of Waste by Road, the label “Waste Transport Vehicle” with a minimum vertical height of 20 cm must be displayed on the sides and rear of the transport vehicle’s body or tanker, excluding the medical waste transport vehicle.

The outer surfaces of the medical waste transport vehicles must be orange in color, and the appropriate-sized “International Biohazard” symbol and the label “CAUTION! MEDICAL WASTE” written in black letters must be visible on the right, left, and rear surfaces.

• The waste compartment of the medical waste vehicle is designed to be solid, durable, and leak-proof.
• The covers of the medical waste compartment are equipped with locks.
• The vehicle has rear and side protection.
• The transport section is made from smooth, stainless steel material that can be easily cleaned and disinfected.
• The transport section is designed to prevent liquid accumulation, with surfaces joined by soft transitions without sharp corners.
• As per the regulation, the medical waste vehicles do not contain any compression mechanisms in the transport section.
• There is a safe distance between the waste transport section (medical waste compartment) and the driver’s cabin (to prevent potential entrapment in case of an accident).
• The vehicle features the “International Biohazard” symbol and the “CAUTION MEDICAL WASTE” label in black letters, visible on the right, left, and rear surfaces.
• The entire vehicle (including the body and cabin) is orange in color.
• Medical waste transport vans used by hospitals and health centers have specially designed compartments and hydraulic systems.
